Good food and excellent staff and dog friendly

Popped in here for lunch as we saw the sign " Hikers, Bikers and Paws welcome"!. The 2 staff on duty were very welcoming and when we sat down a bowl of water and some dog treats appeared for the dogs. We ordered food and drink which arrived very quickly and was very nice indeed. I was most impressed with the 2 staff on duty who dealt with a very rude and verbally aggressive customer who was berating the staff for being given french fries ( which she had apparently asked for) instead of chunky chips, this went on for some time and they were both patient calm and professional in their dealings with her, even when she left and came back for a second time to be equally as rude and aggressive. The 2 staff on duty are a credit to the Bank in my opinion. Lovely place and lovely people. 🙂

Quaint venue

Went here with a large group of friend, they accommodated a large table for us. We put our order in advance and there was next to no wait for our food. Quite a few gluten free options available on the menu.

Warm welcome on a cold winter's day

Happened upon this delightful place while cold and hungry. We were warmly welcomed and brought drinks by a smiling waitress who quickly let us know when to expect our food to arrive, which is always helpful. We found the atmosphere cosy and relaxing. I am not a fan of TV in bars and restaurants but this one had its sound turned down so the three of us were able to hear ourselves think while the sole football fan could keep one eye on the screen! Our meals were delicious: fish pie, well seasoned and with loads of fish; duck with "proper Spanish omelette" as I was taught to make it in Spain; vegetables cooked perfectly. Sadly, we didn't have time for dessert... but we're local... we'll be back!

Lovely food, dog friendly!

Popped in for lunch after a walk out at Garwnant with our dog, who was immediately treated to a bowl of water and plate of dog biscuits, that really is dog friendly! The staff were really welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious, and of a really high standard. It's a shame we went at the end of our holiday, as I would have liked to have gone in there again. Spacious, good food, nice staff, strongly recommend.
